Can I pay by bank transfer or with Ideal? (The Netherlands)
Yes you can!
Ideal payment and bank transfers are not yet integrated into this website. Just use the contact form to let me know what you're interested in.

Don't forget to include your name and address. I'll send you a payment link as soon as possible and the kit will be on it's way to you!

Can I add an engraving to my ring?Ofcourse! Anyhting is visible, just engrave the wax model with a needle for example. It does sometimes help to write me a note about it, so I see it in the wax!

How does this even work? 
I know it sounds like magic, but this process is called the Lost wax technique and is a 6000 year old way of making jewellery. You shape the ring in wax and we cast it in sterling silver. Have a look here to see what it looks like

I would like to make jewellery at home, do I need to have any tools to work with the kit?
There are no tools needed to design your jewellery with the malleable wax inside of the kit! Of course using tools will make it a different experience and you are more than welcome to make it as advanced as you like! Inside the manual we give lots of tips on what to use to make textures or engravings (like needles, spoons, baby powder etc.) 

I have finished my wax model. What do I do now?
Now that you have perfected your design, it’s time to send it back to our atelier so we can cast your ring in silver! You will find the address sticker in the kit.

I love the kit, but I would prefer to have a gold ring instead!
This is definitely possible too! Make your own ring is a kit where the costs of silver are already included in the kit.

Because the price of gold is significantly higher, the best way of pricing is based on weighing the model of your creation. This means you only pay for what you have designed!
Just buy a regular MYOR kit, return your wax model the same way as usual and write on our form that you prefer 14k gold. Once we've received your ring, we will weigh it and send you a quote and payment link based on the current price of 14 karat gold.
You can then make your decision and you will be invoiced the additional cost before we start casting.

If you do end up finding this a little too much, you can of course change to silver again and don’t pay any additional costs! 

How long does it take for the kit to arrive?
The kit is shipped between mondays and fridays. We try to process sales within 1-2 business days. PostNL handles the delivery; depending on the country, it usually takes 1-5 business days to arrive. We always ship with track and trace.

How long does it take before my ring will be cast in silver?
After receiving your wax model it will take up to 4-6 weeks before I will send back your masterpiece.
Please note that these time are estimates as every ring is hand finished to your individual specifications.

How do I make a fingerprint ring of my child / baby's finger?
We would advise against using a lighter to heat up the wax for making a fingerprint ring of your child/ baby's finger as the wax will be too hot for their fingers when using a lighter. Instead just make sure the wax is super soft, by holding it in your hands for a good few minutes. You will see for yourself how detailed the imprint of the wax will become!

Can I buy the kit in a shop too?
Yes definitely!

Can I add stones to the ring?
This is not possible yet, since stone setting and gemology just makes it too complicated for a ring making kit. Almost all stones break from the heat of casting.
It is however possible to bring your ring to a goldsmith and have them set the stone in silver!
